Recently, Pepper the robot was greeting Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) travellers in Terminal 4 and introducing them to Host2Coast, global restaurateur HMSHost’s free airport dining app that offers travellers the ability to find the nearest HMSHost-operated eats and drinks, view select menus, and even pre-order food and pay for their meal directly through the app at more than a dozen HMSHost restaurant locations throughout LAX.
“At LAX, we are working with our partners to find new and innovative ways to provide an LAXCeptional Experience to our travellers, and the Host2Coast app is another step towards creating a world-class airport, and using new technology to improve our customer experience” said Justin Erbacci, Chief Innovation and Technology Officer for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). “This is just a next step in our mission to make it easier and more convenient to fly LAX, as we are working on our own app, expanding on this concept, to provide guests with the ability to use their mobile devices to shop and order food and retail products from other LAX partner stores and restaurants.”
Over the course of the past few days, Pepper the robot showed LAX travellers how the Host2Coast app works and texted them a link to download the app.
HMSHost Chief Operating Officer Jeff Yablun said, “Pepper gives HMSHost a unique and efficient way to engage with our Los Angeles International Airport guests and make them aware of new resources, such as the Host2Coast mobile app, that enhance their travel dining experience.”
The Host2Coast app puts information directly in travellers’ hands, providing a new, convenient way to choose what and where to eat while at LAX. Host2Coast is available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
