FCM Named Finalist for Best TMC, Best Travel Technology Product and Best Specialist Travel Service
FCM Travel Solutions has been named a finalist in THREE categories in the 2018 Business Travel Awards. The global travel management company is in line for Best Travel Management Company (annual sales over £200M), Best Travel Technology Product with its ground-breaking Sam chatbot-based app, and Best Specialist Travel Service for the FCM Travel Essentials portfolio.
Organised in conjunction with Buying Business Travel Magazine, the Business Travel Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of the travel industry’s leading businesses, teams and individuals, who have performed outstandingly in their chosen field over the last 12 months.
Each year categories are carefully chosen to reflect the range of areas and skills that lie at the heart of a successful travel firm or department. The independent panel of judges, made up primarily of business travel buyers, devote a considerable amount of their valuable time, to review and mark each entry in order to identify those worthy of winning one of these highly valued awards.
FCM’s entry for Best Travel Management Company focussed on the company’s innovative approach to pioneering new technology and investment in transforming products and processes over the last 12 months in order to flex with the needs of FCM clients – managers, bookers and travellers – whilst staying true to FCM’s ethos of delivering exceptionally personal customer service.
The submission for Best Travel Technology Product was dedicated to Sam, FCM’s highly interactive, travel-savvy “Smart Assistant for Mobile". Sam is designed to simplify life for corporate travellers by blending the artificial intelligence of a chatbot with the expertise of a real FCM travel consultant to deliver personalized, relevant information to business travellers’ mobile devices. Sam pro-actively supports business travellers with all aspects of travel via a conversational interface to answer questions, make recommendations and perform actions pre-, during and post trip.
The Best Specialist Travel Service entry explained how FCM Travel Essentials is an end to end solution that supports business travellers with all the ‘pain-points’ they may encounter before and during their trip and would not have the time or expertise to arrange for themselves, whilst also supporting their employers with duty of care and compliance obligations. The FCM Travel Essentials portfolio includes arranging visas, advice on travel health; arranging travel clinic appointments for appropriate vaccinations; passport services; travel insurance; immigration advice; medical care whilst travelling, foreign exchange services, airport meet and greet; even tax consultancy.

The winners will be announced at the Business Travel Awards ceremony and gala dinner at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London on 22 January 2018.
