Hyatt Hotels Corporation is entering the home-sharing space through an extension of the World of Hyatt loyalty program.
Starting today, members can earn and redeem World of Hyatt points with Oasis, a provider of serviced home rental accommodations that offers more than 2,000 personally vetted homes across more than 20 destinations worldwide, according to the company.
“With the World of Hyatt loyalty program now extending to Oasis, we can serve our members in more dimensions of their lives when their travel needs extend beyond a hotel—whether it’s because they’re traveling with a larger group and need more space, have a longer stay in mind, or want to stay in a local neighborhood,” said Amy Weinberg, SVP, World of Hyatt.
The move is part of the brand’s commitment to serving the high-end traveler with new experiences in more places.
Oasis combines the comforts of a home with hotel-like amenities, including in-person check-in, linens, luxury toiletries, WiFi and on-demand concierge services. Additionally, Oasis’ global operations expands Hyatt’s footprint in many markets where Hyatt is currently underrepresented or not yet represented, including Barcelona, Spain; Ibiza; Punta del Este, Uruguay; Rome; and Trancoso, Brazil.
“Sometimes our members’ travel needs go beyond a hotel, whether it’s because they’re traveling with a larger group, have a longer stay in mind, need more space or want to stay in a local neighborhood.
